Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 tablespoons cumin
- 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Combine all ingredients and store in an air tight container at room temperature.
Using for tacos: Combine 2 tbsp with 3/4 cup of water per 1 lb cooked & drained ground beef. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 - 12 minutes.
Using for taco dip: Use 1 1/2 tbsp per 16 oz of sour cream. This can be adjusted to your personal preference.
This is a versatile recipe so have fun with it!

Not only does that sound like a great combination for seasoning, but it's so much better for you than the kind you buy at the store. Yours has everything theirs has except for the poison! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood job.
Yummy! I love making my own seasonings. :) Sugar is added to almost everything packaged.

Your seasoning sounds great - much better than the packets!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am going to make that, I bought a huge container of it a couple of years ago, but I used the last of it this week, now I don't have to buy it, thanks to you!

I just ran out of the packets we usually use. Just picked up some cumin for other recipes the other day. I'm going to have to whip this up and give it a go on some turkey tacos. Thanks for the heads up!
