The holidays are over and our hands need some special treatments after all of the wrapping, gifting, eating, and washing dishes! This sugar scrub, from Greenbean's Crafterole, is perfect to soften up your hands and easy to make - you probably have the ingredients on hand!
Ingredients:
- Dawn (dish detergent) - Hand Renewal w/Olay in Pomegranate Splash
- Canning Jars (or you can recycle any container with lid that you have)
- Sugar
- Butter Knife
Fill your canning jar 3/4 full of sugar. Add a thin layer of Dawn on top - you don't need to fill the container entirely. Use your knife to stir, adding more sugar or Dawn until you get the desired consistency. You don't want it too thick or too thin.
Ta-da! Your hands will be unbelievably soft!

*Dawn Hand Renewal also has a lavender scent - perfect for some relaxation before bed!

Yay! I love hand scrubs and I have been eager to make some. I love the idea of using dawn dishsoap instead of oil as it will clean while it scrubs. Thanks for the idea.

ReplyDeleteMade my first batch last night. But overnight, the Dawn and the sugar seemed to seperate sort of, leaving a creamy not sugary layer on top of the jar. Any ideas?
