Our Recipe:
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- you may also want a shower cap or an old towel to wrap your hair in while the mask sits.
Mix the 3 ingredients together very well. Next dampen your hair and work the honey mixture into your hair. You may want to cover your hair with a shower cap or towel to minimize the mess. After your hair has sat for 20 min, rinse out your hair with cool water (you don't want to cook the egg). Then wash your hair as normal. We were so impressed with the results. Our hair looked an felt amazing! You can use this mask on your hail once a month. If you have super dry summer hair, give this a try!

Interesting... I'll have to give this a try :)
ReplyDeleteYou think this is safe for colored hair?
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a shower cap handy, or don't want to bother cleaning it afterward, you can also use a plastic grocery bag. Just gather your hair into it, wrap the handles around and tie. Then trash it when you're done!
ReplyDeleteI need to do a deep conditioning treatment before I leave dry Colorado for 5 days in humid Texas!
ReplyDeleteI've been living in Uganda for over a year and a half now (the land of eternal summer) and also had my third child here so I'm experiencing the dreaded post partum hair loss.
ReplyDeleteGoing to try this out in the next day or two. It can't hurt, that's for sure!
